God has a day in the meadows I spent
With feverish passion, the likes of which I'll never see again
The flowers in that meadow are like
Stars blossoming on a green carpet
The wind in the boughs of the trees makes
The bare branch blossom when it sees it
The branch dances under the train of the morning breeze
Almost breaking from sheer joy
The leaves at the tops of the branches are like
Verses rising above the lines
The clouds cry and the lightning laughs
Like a victorious army driving out another army
The water in those valleys is like
A frightened doe flock bolting away
It kept on raging out of its depths
Until it fell from a great height and shattered
