The motto of praise stems from the generosity of nature,
While the fire of blame stems from the kindling of defamation.
If you hate and blame without religious law,
A brother protected by the helmet of Sharia.
Then close your ears to slander and blame,
With God's law, He perfected its making.
A person's tongue is a lethal weapon,
Prepared with the evils of transgressions like a trust.
When you unleash it, you unleash evil,
As if death were in its vanguard.
So the harbinger of evils is a harmful tongue,
You see its harms broadcasted from it.
You see it paralyzed by the era, so it deafens
A gentle soul with the arrow of its hypocrisy.
Its fame teaches every abomination,
Jew, and its sight is appalling.
Its taste and its sharpness are like a flaming fire,
Its tongue quick like lightning.
So how many processions of love collapsed,
Which it tore without fearing separation.
It made the sweet bitter again after change,
And its vileness distorted the beautiful.
It almost destroyed kings in every art,
And razed impregnable citadels.
If evils were created,
I would say it is the tongue and defamation.
My God protect me from the doom of my speech,
For how many souls have fallen dead from it.
