حزتَ الرئاسة في الآفاق قاطبةً

يا بطرسُ الحِبرُ إذ خاطبتَ مولاكا

You have attained supreme leadership everywhere,

O Peter the pontiff, when you addressed your Master.

أنت المسيحُ وابن اللَه منقذُنا

طوباك يا صخرةَ الإيمان طوباكا

You are the Christ and the Son of God who saves us.

Blessed are you, rock of faith, blessed are you!

سلطانُك العامُ بالإطلاقِ عمَّ به

غرباً وشرقاً لأن اللَه ولّاكا

Your absolute rule spreads everywhere,

East and west, for God has appointed you.

ارعَ خرافي خرافي أمتي أممي

ارعَ نعاجي مُ الأسيادُ إلاكا

Feed my sheep, my nation, my peoples,

Feed my ewes, O master, I entrust them to you.

خذ المفاتيحَ للإطلاق أُطلِقُ ما

حلَّلتَ واربُط فربُّ الأمر أعطاكا

Take the keys to loose and bind what

You make lawful or forbidden, for the Lord has given them to you.

عليكَ يا صخرةَ الإيمان قد بُنيت

كنيسةُ اللَه تنحو نحو معناكا

Upon you, O rock of faith, is built

God’s church inclining towards your meaning.

معناك صخرٌ أساسٌ محكَمٌ أبداً

عليك يُبنَى بنا إيمانَ مبناكا

Your meaning is a firm, steadfast rock,

Upon you faith’s structure is built forever.

ارجِع وثبِّتِ اِخوَتكَ الذين إذا

تغربلوا قام فيهم صدقُ نجواكا

Return and strengthen your brethren who, when

Sifted, in them remains the sincerity of your salvation.

ما كان بي مؤمناً من حاد عنك وعن

تعليم بِيعتك الفُضلى وعاصاكا

He was no believer in me who turned away from you and from

Your supreme fellowship’s teaching and disobeyed you.
