هي نَكْبَةٌ أَغْنَتْ فُؤادي مِنْ أسىً

إِذْ غادرتْهُ مِنَ العَزاءِ عَديما

It is a calamity that enriched my heart with grief,

For it left that heart destitute of consolation.
