فَتىً كانَ مِثْلَ السّيْفِ مِنْ أَينَ جِئْتَهُ
لنائِبَةٍ نابَتْهُ فهيَ مَضَارِبُهْ
A youth who was like a sword—from whatever side you came to him
because of a calamity that had befallen him, that side was one of his cutting edges.
