الكَلْبُ فوقَ أُناسٍ أنتَ مالِكُهُمْ

ونعمةٌ أنتَ فيها عندهمْ نِقَمُ

The dog above people, you are their owner

And you are a blessing to them from their perspective

وإنَّ دَهْراً عَلَوْتَ النّاسَ كُلَّهُمُ

فيهِ فبالجهلِ والخذلانِ مُتّهَمُ

And you have long towered over all people

Yet in it with ignorance and abandonment accused
