فَذَا بالٍ وذا رَطْبُ

And the bending staff inclines
أبانَتْ مِنْهُ ما طَابَا
ومِنِّيْ ما بَرَى الحُبُّ
It shows what is fragrant within it
And what love has nurtured in me
ضُلُوعٌ ما لها رُوحٌ
ولا يَسْكُنُها القَلْبُ
