في خَدِّهِ خَالٌ كأَنَّ
أَنامِلاً صَبَغَتْهُ عَمْدَا
On his cheek a mole as if
fingers had stained it deliberately
خَنِثٌ كأنَّ اللّهَ أَلْ
بَسَهُ قُشُورَ الدُّرِّ جِلْدَا
An effeminate one as if Allah had
dressed him in pearls as a garment
مُتَرَقْرِقُ الخَدَّينِ مِنْ
ماءِ الصِّبَا والطِّيبِ يَنْدَى
With cheeks bright from the
water of youth and scent that glistens
وتَرَى على وَجْنَاتِهِ
في أَيِّ حينٍ جِئْتَ وَرْدَا
And you see on his cheeks
at any time, roses bloom
