Drink joyfully, amid roses and fragrance,
And seek not a sweet odour that comes with loss.
We are the witnesses, the lute's stroke our suitor,
Wedding the son of a cloud to a cluster's daughter.
When the cup spies a modest one amid the throng,
“Arise,” joy says, “you are not to be turned away.”
Do you not see, beauty and kindness are joined here?
Drink then, for you are at a feast and celebration.
