When she left me forlorn in Tinufa
The sand grouse lingers there, the ignorant man sings to it
Like one committing a grave deed that leads him astray
So I let go of the guide and my slipper slipped off
She left me in love for her like a lone tree
And one like me can have no equal
I seek connection through my questions, and my heart desires
Another connection not inhibited by nobility
I begged for mercy, mercifulness pulled me back
Passionate longing and raving madness wrestled me
I visited you, but I turned away, and one in love
Goes where the heart inclines, the legs walking it there
