كَم يَذهَبُ هَذا العُمرُ في خُسرانِ

ما أَغفَلَني عَنهُ وَما أَنساني

How much this life passes in loss

What made me neglectful and what made me forget

إِن لَم يَكُنِ اليَومَ فَلاحي فَمَتى

هَل بَعدَكَ يا عُمري عُمرٌ ثاني

If today my success is not achieved, then when?

After you, O my life, is there a second life?
