كَتَبتُها مِن آمِدِ

عَن فَرطِ شَوقٍ زائِدِ

I wrote it out of excessive longing

For I miss you more than words can say

وَاللَهِ مُذ فارَقتُكُم لَم

تَصفُ لي مَوارِدي

Since we parted, my life has lost its joy

My days are not what they used to be

فَهَل زَماني بَعدَها

بِقُربِكُم مُساعِدي

Will we ever be close again?

My heart yearns to be by your side

فَكَم نَذورٍ أَصبَحَت

عَلَيَّ لِلمَساجِدِ

So many promises made, should we meet

In devotion, I'd spend my life in prayer

وَهَبتُ باقي عُمُري

لَكُم بِيَومٍ واحِدِ

Just to be with you for a single day

I'd give all the years that remain of my life
