كُلَّما قُلتُ اِستَرَحنا

جاءَنا الشَيخُ الإِمامُ

Whenever we said we rested

The sheikh, the imam came to us

فَاِعتَرانا كُلَّنا مِن

هُ اِنقِباضٌ وَاِحتِشامُ

So he blamed us, all of us, for

Withdrawal and modesty from him

فَهُوَ في المَجلِسِ فَدمٌ

وَلَنا فَهوَ فِدامُ

So he is blood in the gathering

And for us he is ransom

وَعَلى الجُملَةِ فَالشَي

خُ ثَقيلٌ وَالسَلامُ

And in summary, the sheikh is burdensome

And peace
