يا واحِداً ما كانَ لي غَيرُهُ

بَعدَكَ وا قِلَّةَ أَنصاري

O the only one I had no other beside

يا مُنتَهى سُؤلي وَيا مُشتَكى

حُزني وَيا حافِظَ أَسراري

O endpoint of my request, o confidant

Of my sorrow, o keeper of my secrets

الدارُ مِن بَعدِكَ قَد أَصبَحَت

في وَحشَةٍ يا مُؤنِسَ الدارِ

The house after you has become

Desolate, o companion of the house

إِن كُنتَ قَد أَصبَحتَ في جَنَّةٍ

إِنِّيَ مِن فَقدِكَ في نارِ

If you have come to be in Paradise

I am from missing you in fire

جارُكَ قَلبي كَيفَ أَحرَقتَهُ

وَاللَهُ أَوصى الجارَ بِالجارِ
