O one who was relieved of parting,
O you who I find solace from separation in
O you who have been relieved of separation,
Yet whose parting endures through estrangement.
Yet his separation through estrangement remains
While his separation remains through abandonment,
I love parting, even if I have seen
I yearn for separation, even if I see
I desire the parting, even if I view
Death in the person of parting,
Death in the entity of separation
Death itself within the form of separation,
For a drawing close at farewell,
For a coming together at the farewell
For the sake of closeness at the farewell,
And a kiss at the embrace.
And a kiss at the embrace
And a kiss shared during the embrace.
