Do you then—while the sun of beauty has unfastened her veil
The sun of beauty has unveiled her face to you
Is it then, when the sun of beauty has lifted its veil,
over you, and you are the full moon aligned with auspicious stars—
While you are the full moon coming into perfect alignment.
Upon you, whilst you are the full moon in fortunate skies?
turn away in coyness? Yet you would have no power
You turn from me disdainfully, though you've no power
You turn away in coquetry, yet no power would you hold
to turn away, if I could muster self-restraint.
To reject me, even if I had the patience of an angel.
To turn away, if only I possessed the strength to endure.
