Why didn't you ask, when the pollen blew gently,

The she-camels brayed and did not cease their complaint,

We hasten to serve plain food to our guest

Before our families, and we seek the strings,

And we count days for us and deeds,

Steps with which we scorn the deserts and cities,

Including a beloved, going and returning, and in clarity

A day on which the glory of the one who marched triumphed
