He circled with two suns of fragrant plants

    In two golden jewels

A rising stick over which a moon

That turns two cups made of twisting

It almost divides him when standing, the pleat

When it folds into two halves

As if the roses of his cheeks upon

His face two fires above two waters

Neither can the fire be extinguished with the water in it, nor the

Water with a neighbor below these two

So look at him as if the sides of his cheeks had split

    Fearing two fires

In a night that embroidered the darkness of his cheeks

At its dawn with two embroideries

    So whenever the morning portrayed

The night in him like two

You cry for ecstasy in it like its planets

As a watcher cried with two tears

As if the conversations of his cheeks lent

The light of morning two mornings

I embraced a full moon in it and it embraced me

So my share of the two became two shares

And the full moon was stingy with its hands from

Ecstasy for our necks two scarfs

As if it were a lover whose hands had attained

    From our estrangement two unions

As if we and the darkness gathered us

Two dawns appeared from under two nights
