When she glances towards us, she unsheathes
The swords of passion with the palms of coquetry,
And shows beauty, if she unveils,
The crescent of desire in the clouds of suspicion,
As if the gloom of doubt in her displeasure
And the light of contentment in the whiteness of certainty,
And if ecstasy weds me, it weds
The stirrups of tears to the quarters of the eyelids.
