مازال يشربُ شبهَ ما

في وَجنتيهِ مِنَ اللهيبِ

He yet drinks from a cup what is like

The flames in his cheeks from the wine

حتى انثَنى وَكأَنَّما

في كأسِهِ قبلَ المغيبِ

As though bent over in his glass

The moon before sunset

بدرٌ يُقبِّلُ عارضاً

لِلشمسِ في وقت الغُروبِ

Kissing the cheek
