O you whose pleasure in reproaching me is my life
And whose estrangement in anger is my death
You abandoned me unjustly without any cause
So the tears of my grief overflowed in bewilderment
My eyes never betrayed you with a glance
Nor did my heart ask about you in its turmoil
By God, you are my wish and my hope
More precious to me than what I see you with
