نشوق طابة عندي

فيها ألذُّ نُشوقُ

I have a longing for Tabah

In it is the sweetest longing

من نشوات كفتنا

عن نشوات الغبوق

Better than the desires of our palms

Than the desires of foolishness

للنّاس فيها حُقوقٌ

قد أودعت في الرُّقوق

People have rights in it

That have been placed in parchments

أما تُرى كلّ حين

مسجونة في الحقوق

Do you not see that at all times

It is imprisoned in rights
