1. And a garden for which the hands of spring fashioned

    her robes, and Aden clothed her in embroidered brocade.

  2. The mounts of graceful maidens turned toward her, their draperies trailing;

    amid their laughter, tears came streaming.

  3. As though parting made her weep, while what made her laugh was

    a reunion that repose bestowed on her once parting was past.

  4. And so she bore yellow blossoms, their garments green,

    their hearts a home for the heart of dew.

  5. From every golden jewel, within its curtained chamber, there hid

    a virgin, with ruby concealed within her belly.
