Ibn Harb clothed me in a coat of mail as though I were
a lovesick youth, worn by longing like an old waterskin,
A love-sick youth crazed with passion, raving mad.
singing a song of Ibrahim's when I put it on:
I sang for Ibrahim when he arrayed me,
"I have left this world, yet it has not left me."
But though I am departed from the world, the world is not departed from me.
