الجود طبعي ولكن ليس لي مال

وكيف يصنع من بالقرض يحتال

Generosity is my nature, though I lack wealth

How can one who resorts to borrowing act nobly?

فهاك خطي فخذه منك تذكرة

إلى اتساع فلي في الغيب آمال
