خالص ما فيه غش وكدر

زئبق منعقد في جسد

قرّ فيه بعدما كان نفر

Mercury congealed into a body

Settled after once being aloof

ملغم بالطلق معقود به

فهو فينا حجر فوق حجر

Laden with gunpowder, bound by it

So within us stone upon stone
