A lackluster youth whose gaze
Relays tales of angels' sorcery
Veiled in masks, his coverings
Clouds hiding the moon behind them
If beauty's meant for only a few
His is far more deserving, truly
The veil hides smiles so cherished
Concealing dimple and lip within
Lips like parted seashells
Masked beneath his guise and skin
As we embraced in passion
Our secret became open and plain
I felt his sighs against
My breath aflame like embers
He lowered his veil over smiles
Imbued with wine's chill and fervor
To protect them from drowning
In my sea of breath, wary
Had I power over them
I'd adorn them in pearls and scent
