With my being I wish not for one my being denies

The sweetness of life and its spirit after him

News of demise arrived while I hoped to see

The face of the herald returning from his side

It sufficed me not that after his leaving I lived

Until with misery from losing him I was tried

So let the days reveal their utmost schemes

And let the ordained reach the end of its stride

Naught is left that gladdens me by its nearness

After your day or saddens me by its divide
