توعَّدَنِي في حُبِّ آلِ محمَّدٍ

وحبِّ ابنِ فضلِ اللّه قومٌ فأكثروا

They threatened me for loving Muhammad's family

And for loving Ibn Fadlillah's son excessively

فقلتُ لهم لا تُكْثِروا ودعُوا دَمِي

يُراقُ على حُبِّي لهم ثم يُهدَرُ

So I said: "Don't be excessive and spare my blood

It will be shed for loving them and then wasted"

فهذا نجاحٌ حاضِرٌ لمعيشتِي

وذاكَ نجاةٌ أرتجي يوم أُحْشَرُ

This is present success for my life

And that is salvation I hope for when I am resurrected
