نارنْجُنَا في لونِه
وشَكلِه المُدَوَّرِ
Our orange in its color
And its round shape
يحكي كُراتِ سُفُنٍ
مصبوغةٍ بالعُصْفُرِ
Tells of painted ship balls
In yellow ochre
ملفوفةً في خِرَقٍ
من الحريرِ الأخضرِ
Wrapped in strips
Of green silk
أو كَنهودٍ ظَهَرَتْ
من تحت لاذٍ أحمَرِ
Or like partridges that appeared
From under red shelter
حِقاقُ تِبْرٍ ضُمِّنَتْ
حشواً بديعَ المنظرِ
Apricot pits were stuffed
With a beautiful filling
أبريسَمٌ كبَّتُه
مبلولةٌ لم تُعْصَرِ
Juicy apricots that were not squeezed
