سقى الله أياماً أُشبِّهُ حُسنها

وقد كنتُ في روض من العيش ناضرِ

May God water days whose beauty I liken

To when I was in a garden of flourishing life

بشعرِ ابن معتزٍّ وخطِّ ابن مقلةٍ

ودولةِ مسعودٍ وخلقِ مسافرِ
