I ransom you, what is all this coyness

For the call of a servant whose soul finds rest in you

And why all this aloofness in a gathering

Adorned with basil, sun, and breeze

When you have no need for anything that pleases me

And your face is a lantern for me in the darkness of night

Your saliva is wine for me, your eyes narcissus

Your temple a myrtle, your cheek an apple
