بدا وجهكَ الميمونُ في أُفق المجد

كما الكوكبُ الدّريّ في الطّالع السّعدِ

Your auspicious face dawned on the horizon of glory

Like the shining star in the ascent of good fortune

وكفّك من صوْب الحَيا وكَفت لنا

غمائمها من غير برْق ولا رعدِ

And your hand from the side of life has saved us

From its clouds without lightning or thunder

أَبا العرب المحمُود يا معدن العُلى

ويا زينة الدّنيا ويا علمَ الأَزدِ

O father of the Arabs, the praised, O source of sublimity

And ornament of the world, and banner of Azd

ملوك الورى من أزدها ومَعدها

وأَرباب دنياها من السّهل والنّجدِ

Kings of mankind, from its Azd and Ma'ad

And masters of its world, from the plain and highland

هُمُ دَوّخوا الأملاك قِدْمَاً وثَبّتوا

عمادَ العلى بالبيض والسُّمر والجُردِ

They subdued kingdoms of old and established

The pillars of glory with white, brown, and chestnut steeds

وهم أَسكنوا جيرانهم من حماهمُ

منزل كالأغيال تُمنع بالأْسْدِ

And they settled their neighbors under their protection

A settlement like the deep pools protected by lions

وهمْ شيّدوا بيت العتيكِ وايّدوا

لهم جبلاً في العزّ ليس بمنْهَدِ

And they built the House of Atik and supported for it

A mountain in glory that cannot be shaken

وهمْ ورّثوا أبناءُ نبهان سُؤدداً

ترى كلَّ حرٍّ عندهم فيه كالعبدِ

And they inherited from the sons of Nabhan, Soodda

You see every freeman among them like a slave

غدا الدَّهرُ يُطري آل نبهان بالعُلى

ويعرب عن تفْضيل يعرب بالجهدِ

Tomorrow time makes the clan of Nabhan fly with glory

And speaks preference that speaks with effort

سَلِ اللهُ أَن يبقي أَبا العرب الرّضى

على مجده السَّامي وفي عيشهِ الرغدِ

May God make the father of the Arabs, the pleased, live

In his sublime glory and comfortable life
