1. May you be blessed in your ancestral honor, Abu Ishaq,

with the glory of lofty rank and the virtues of character.

  2. O master, you spread your bounty until you stripped

from us, through kindness, the robe of destitution.

  3. And restored life's flow to the branches of wealth,

among seekers of bounty, abundant in foliage.

  4. The place his wealth held within his soul was never emptied,

except through the surpassing sweetness of giving.

  5. O house of Nabhan, through you she has swelled with pride—

    Samad—and surpassed all other horizons.

  6. And it is as though within your wealth were ordained

for all humankind the means of livelihood.

  7. And sufficient as your lineage for attaining lofty rank

are your benefactions, made manifest upon people's necks.

  8. Benefactions that are shackles if denied; and if

acknowledged with thanks, they rest upon necks and necklaces.

  9. And you indeed, Ibrahim, on the steps of lofty rank,

are forever ascending the heights of the Milky Way.

  10. May you ever remain guarded, and your might triumphant,

and your haven well peopled, and your life enduring.
