يُقَالَ لِلشَّمسِ الكسوفُ والخُسوف

لِقَمَرٍ أمَّا الصَّلاَةُ لِلكُسُوف

The eclipse and occlusion are said of the sun

While prayer is for the moon's occlusion

إِذَا أرَدتَهَا فَهِىَّ رَكعتَان

لَهَا والرُّكُوعُ مَرَّتَان

When you want it, it is two cycles

With two bowings for it

مِنَ الزَّوَالِ لِلضُّحَى فَانتَبِهَا

وَلاَ أذَانَ لاَ إقَامَةَ لها

From noon to afternoon so be alert

No call to prayer or commencement for it

أمَّا الخُسُوفُ لاَ جَمَاعَةَ لَهَا

بِرَكعَتَينِ رَكَعتَينِ صَلِّهَا

As for the occlusion, no congregation for it

With two cycles, two cycles, pray it

وَقِيلَ في البُيُوتِ قَالَ مَالِك

بِجَامِعٍ صَلاَتُها كَذَلِك

And it is said in homes, Malik said

In a mosque its prayer is likewise
