In some corners today there are dissenters

Who have strayed from the path of their ancestors

They used to avoid what was unbecoming of them

Of it is compromise, even if pressed by dissenters

It is best for one who wants to walk rightly

To dissent from the obstinacy of the stubborn

The sun is not like the stars, nor are they united

In allure, horses and camels dissent

What is flung is not similar to what casts

Nor is reform similar to corruption in dissent

So the Shugrwis have purified spirits

From all blemish, and bodies with which they excelled
