  1. أقولُ لأهلِ العمى الحائرينا

    من السامريينَ والناصِبينا

    I say to the blind and wandering people

    Of the Samaritans and the hostile ones

  2. وجيرانِنا الطاعنينَ الذين

    على خير من دَبّ نَفساً ودِينا

    And our neighbors who attack, those who

    Reviled the best of those with a soul and faith

  3. سوى الأنبياءِ مع الأوصياء

    من الأوّلين مع الآخرينا

    Except the prophets with the successors

    Of the early ones with the later ones

  4. لعمري لئن كان للسابقي

    نَ وسيلةُ فضلٍ على التابِعينا

    By my life, if the predecessors had

    A means of virtue over the followers

  5. لقد كان للسابقِ السابقينَ

    عليهمْ من الفضلِ ما تَدَّعونا

    The predecessor of the predecessors indeed had

    Over them a virtue you claim

  6. فقد جُرتمُ وتكذّبتمُ

    على ربِّنا كَذِبَ المُفترينا

    You have thus wronged and lied

    Against our Lord, lies of the slanderers

  7. كذاك وربِ مني والذي

    بكعبتِه طوّفَ الطائِفونا

    So by the Lord of me, and the one

    Who circumambulated the Kaaba, the circlers

  8. لقد فضّل الله آل الرسولِ

    كفضلِ الرسولِ على العالمينا

    Allah has preferred the Household of the Prophet

    As the virtue of the Prophet over the worlds
