أبو حسنٍ غُلامٌ من قريشٍ

أبو حسنٍ غُلامٌ من قريشٍ

أبرُّهم وأكرمُهم نِصابا

أبرُّهم وأكرمُهم نِصابا

Abu Hasan was a youth of Quraysh,

the most righteous of them and noblest in lineage.

دَعاهم أحمدٌ لما أتتهُ

دَعاهم أحمدٌ لما أتتهُ

من اللهِ النبوّةُ فاستجابا

من اللهِ النبوّةُ فاستجابا

Ahmad called them when there came to him

prophethood from God; and he answered the call.

فأدَّبه وعلَّمه وأملى

فأدَّبه وعلَّمه وأملى

عليهِ الوحيَ يكتُبه كِتابا

عليهِ الوحيَ يكتُبه كِتابا

So he educated him, taught him, and dictated

the revelation to him, which he set down in writing.

فأحصى كلَّما أملى عليهِ

فأحصى كلَّما أملى عليهِ

وبيَّنه له باباً فبابا

وبيَّنه له باباً فبابا

So he recorded all that was dictated to him,

and explained it to him, chapter by chapter.
