I will rule justly when you appoint me, not wastefully

Nor stingily, O son of noble men of repute

Three thousand and a bit, a mule

And a beautiful slave girl with delicate wrists

A saddle, armor, and fine clothes

This is not excessive from the ruling of a ruler

Give me this in my position, for by your life

I have not given her anything while asleep

If I were in Ahvaz, I would not be satisfied with you

With thousands of the best dirhams
