يا لَقومي لِلنبيِّ المُصطفى

ولما قد نالَ من خيرِ الأُمَمْ

O my people, for the Chosen Prophet

And for what he attained of the best of nations

جَحدوا ما قاله في صِنوه

يوم خُمِّ بين دَوْحٍ مُنتظِمْ

They denied what he said in his will

On the day of Khumm between organized sand dunes

أيّها الناسُ فمن كنتُ له

والياً يوجِبُ حقّي في القِدَمْ

O people, whoever I was his guardian

And my guardianship necessitates rights in the past

فعليٌّ هو مولاهُ لمن

كنتُ مولاه قضاءٌ قد حَتَمْ

Then Ali is his guardian for whoever

I was his guardian, a decree that was decided

أفلا يَنفذُ فيهمْ حكمهُ

عجباً يولِع في القلبِ الضَرَمْ

Is it not effective among them his rule?

Strangely, it inflames the heart with embers
