شَرُفتْ بكَ الأرض البسيطةُ بعدَما

أُسكنِتَها وتجلّتِ الأقطارُ

The vast earth was ennobled by you after

You dwelled in it and the regions shone clear.

فالأرضُ حيثُ أقمت فيها جَنّة

والأرضُ حيثُ رحلتَ عنها نارُ

So the earth where you stayed became a paradise,

And the earth you departed from became fire.
