غداةَ الشَّكِّ نَدعوكَ

إلى الراحِ تُغادِيها

The morning after doubt we call you

To ease off to rest

فلاَ تَنأ وَلذَّاتُ

ك دانٍ منك نَائيها

So do not shy away, for your pleasures

Are humbly beseeching you

فقَد أضحَت سِجالُ الغَي

ثِ مُنْهَلّاً عَزالِيها

For the wasteland debates have become

A secluded watering hole

وبُسْطُ الرَّوضِ تُغنِيك

عن البُسْطِ نَواحِيها

And the garden's expanse makes you

Forget its far reaches

رُبىً طَيِّبَةُ النَّشرِ

تُحيِّي مَن يُحيَيِّها

A gentle, sweet-scented blossom

Revives whoever it revives

إذا ضاحكَها البَرقُ

غَدا الغيثُ يبُاكِيها

When lightning makes it laugh

The rain starts crying for it

وعندي قَينةٌَتنُثُ

رُ دُرَّ القَولِ من فِيها

And I have an intimate friend who

Spills the pearls of words from her mouth

إذا دَغْدَغَتِ العُودَ

رأيناه يُناغِيها

When you tickle the lute

We see it flirting with her

وراحٌ خُلِقَت للطِّي

بِ من أنفاسِ سَاقيها

And ease that was created for revelry

With the breaths of its pourer

وَوَْردٌ كخُدودِ الغِي

دِ تَحكِيه ويَحكيِها

And a rose like the cheeks of a young gazelle

Telling about it and it telling about her

وآدابٌ جَلِيَّاتٌ

دَقيقاتٌ مَعانيها

And refined, delicate etiquette

Subtle in its meanings

وعِلْقٌ يِحمِل الرَّايَ

ةَ لا غِشّاً وتَموِيها

And a caravan that carries the banner

Without deceit or pretense

دواءٌ يَحسِمُ الأدوا

ءَ إن عَزَّ مُداوِيها

A remedy that eliminates all remedies

If its applier is competent

فزُرني تلقَ دُنيا كُلْ

لَ مَا حَاوَلْتَهُ فيها

So visit me to find a whole world

Of everything you have sought in it
