أمَا لِلمُحِبِّينَ مِنْ حَاكِمِ

فَينُصِفُنِي اليومَ مِنْ ظَالِمي

Is there no judge for lovers,

To give me justice today against my oppressors?

حِمَاميَ في طَرْفِهِ كَامِنٌ

كُمُونَ المَنِيَّةِ في الصَّارِمِ

In his eyes a dove lies hidden,

Secretly carrying my death in his glances.
