Your finest hours of pleasure
The best of your times are times of pleasure
Are the hours of early morning.
The times of dawn are best
No day, if you shorten
No day is short
It with a morning draught, is short.
If you rise early in the morning
And the refined, noble man, away from
The free man is impatient with
His brethren, has no patience.
His brothers, and not patient
And we have wine during
And we have rest amidst drinking
The drinking—not wine of pressed juice—
Not the rest of the afternoon
With a hue and a fragrance
A complexion and breeze
Both fashioned from the roses of Jur.
Created from rose water
And cupbearers who, when they pour,
And servers, if they serve wine
Salute with the basil of their breasts.
Revive the spirits of breasts
And an enemy to you in
An enemy to you in estrangement
The cold, a friend in the midday heat,
Is a friend in company
Borrows coolness and
Borrowing coolness and nobility
Radiance from the hail-white teeth.
From the coolness of the frontiers
So delicate it almost vanishes
It melted until it almost perished
At a gesture from one who points.
At the gesture of the gesturer
So come to us; you will find what you
So come to us, find what you desire
Desire of a life in bloom.
Of a life of equal pleasure
