My heart is enamored of you;
My heart is infatuated with you,
And my tears are shed for you.
My tears for you overflow.
And in your promise, should you grant
If you fulfill your promise,
It, lie delay and procrastination.
I'll be patient, though it's slow.
Shall I forget the scene of parting,
Shall I forget our parting spot,
While my yearning remains fixed on you?
My love for you on hold?
And an eye had seen me off,
As if eyes bade me farewell
Stricken by the water of longing.
With tears of yearning cold.
And wide eyes poured out tears,
Lids wide and slim branches bent,
And slender boughs swayed.
Cheeks blushed like headbands dyed.
And the cheek's redness shifted,
The beads of tears came undone,
As fingertip henna markings shifted.
While smiles stayed dignified.
So the necklace of tears is unstrung,
For one whose tears released
And the necklace of the mouth is closely strung.
The burden of our divide -
And in tears, for one burdened
A meadow whose drafts soothed
With parting's weight, there is relief.
With light and gentle tide.
And a garden, with embroidery within it
We knew the sweetness of home,
Of blossoms, and colored striping:
And life’s comforts well tried,
We grew accustomed to its pleasant abode,
While days for us remained
And life's sweetness is familiar.
Safe with Abu Al Abbas’ guide.
And time's adversity—from us, by
A youth infatuated with grace,
Abu al-Abbas—is turned away.
Known for his good side,
A young man enamored of generosity,
Threads of righteousness weaved
And well-known for good deeds.
Through the land far and wide.
Virtues—for the age's well-being,
Come the day of kindness, a greeter,
In their shade lies fertile plenty.
Come the day of valor, a knight.
So on the day of giving, he is all smiles,
In plenty collected, in glory composed -
And on the day of terror, a gallant nobleman.
Dew that would flow day and night.
He scatters his ample wealth,
And gathers lofty honors.
Bounty—were it drawn from a sea,
That sea would be drained by evening.
