She rose—a bough of the bān-tree,
She arose, and the slender boughs of the myrtle tree
swaying gracefully within her robes.
Swayed gently in her robes,
And two intoxications sway her: the drunkenness
Intoxicated by the intoxicating draught
of her wine and her youth.
Of her glances and her wine.
She moves with two tawny wines, from
When she unveiled her radiant face,
her glances and her drink.
It was as though her jewelled goblet
And her cup of wine seemed,
Had suddenly unveiled itself;
when clothed in its bubbles,
Revealing the red wine beneath.
the rosy flush of her cheek, when
it gleamed beneath her veil.
