And a garden the rain clothed, when it watered its soil generously,
A garden the rain has clothed when its land was generous
in dyed brocaded robes of daisies and stocks.
Corpses of withered plants from blossoms and fragrance strewed
Within it, the fresh white rose seems
In it white roses smile as though
to smile at whoever breathes its scent, with musk and camphor.
They grinned at the walker with musk and camphor imbued
As though its yellow hue, above its whiteness,
As if a yellowness on it above its whiteness
were gold filings in crystal ointment jars.
