لا تجمع الدينار واسمح به

ولا تقل كن في حمى كنفي

Do not hoard money, be generous with it

And do not say, remain in my protection

ما الدهر نحوي فينحو الهدى

ويمنع الجمع من الصرف

Time does not stand still for me, so head for guidance

And accumulated wealth prevents spending
