قلت إذ قيل لي تسل فهذا
صدغه قد دجا وكان ينيرُ
When told to entertain as this is
his temple fallen into gloom though it shone
هي مرآة خده غاب منها
في غلافِ العذارِ شيءٌ يسيرُ
it's his cheek's mirror darkness crept upon
little remains in the veil of modesty
