لا تسع في أمر ولا تعمل به

ما لم يزنه لديك عقل ثان

Do not undertake a matter or act upon it

فالشعر معتدلٌ بوزن عروضه

وكذا اعتدال الشمس بالميزان

For poetry is balanced by the meter of its verse

As the sun is balanced on the scale
